At the beginning of this project, we saw that Nice Sweater had suffered from a Negative SEO Strategy with its previous supplier. They had created a separate desktop and mobile web, which created responsive errors in the desktop version and declared the mobile and desktop webs as competitors with each other to Google. They had also carried out an ineffective multi-language strategy where translation plugins and multiple subdomains were used to "simulate" multi-language versions of the same web. This "shortcut" is at best ineffective and at worst a duplication risk. The previous supplier also carried out blackhat external links, which are effective in "Baidu SEO" but are extremely damaging to "Google SEO".
Our first task was to remove the multidomain, multi-language confusion, correct the responsive errors and address the duplication and the blackhat external links. As a result, the EN web took almost 6 months to regain SEO Neutrality and start to grow and generate SEO contacts and leads. However, since the previous supplier had NOT carried out its "Baidu SEO" Strategy on the muli language versions of the web, these versions of the web, and in particular the ES version, began to achieve positioning and generate contacts in less than 3 months.
In less than a year the SEO footprint of CozyKnitSweater was completely recovered and over the last 2 years we have reached a healthy rhythm of SEO contacts and leads.
