From SEO to SXO

Over the last few years, SEO has evolved from algorithmically based Search Engine Optimization (SEO), where 1 + 1 = 2, to an A.I.-based Search Experience Optimization (SXO), where 1 + 1 = Happy. This paradigm shift in Internet Search is being led, of course, by Google. It reflects the ever-changing world of internet search and shows us that Google thinks search engines are becoming more important as the digital grows.

If you use an Android Phone, be aware that you use Google Search daily. If you use an Apple Phone, be aware you use Google Search daily. In a world where we can ask our cars, our music players, and even our fridges questions, it is largely Google Search giving us the answer, an expert, authoritative, and trustworthy answer. So, as long as we have digital data and humans with questions to ask, we will have SEO.

The SEO Process

SEO, like an onion, has many layers, and like an onion, as you peel back the many layers, it can bring tears to your eyes. Good SEO is not easy. Bad SEO, on the other hand, is very easy and very common. Many customers are convinced by their suppliers that a few hundred backlinks, some rehashed AI content, and other "magic" click click click "multilanguage" solutions using multiple "domain names" will "fool" Google, the most technologically advanced company in the world. Please understand that you will NOT fool Google. When you finally choose your SEO provider, choose wisely, and remember, NO SEO is better than Bad SEO.

Different Types of SEO

EC Center has tried to compartmentalize the different layers of the SEO Onion into four main layers. We have developed a SEO Process to continuously collect data, analyze data and take actions to improve SEO in each layer. EC Center uses its own platform, EC Engine, which means we have control of every aspect of SEO. We control the whole onion, not just one layer.

Technical SEO

What hosting platform do you use? How efficiently does that platform communicate with Google and other Search Engines? The essence of Technical SEO is "communication," specifically the communication ability of your hosting platform with the GoogleBOTs, the "robots" Google sends to index, analyze and check your web content. No matter how good your content is, if you don't communicate it properly to Google, it will not achieve its maximum potential in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). Communication is a two-way street; not only must your platform be able to "talk" to Google, it must also know how to "listen". This communication feedback loop with Google is what EC Center prioritizes in Technical SEO. Of course, in EC Engine, we have a platform continuously adapting to Google's communication requirements. Still, we can also help to optimize the Technical SEO of other platforms.

Design SEO

Have you looked at the design of the www.apple.com web page? No swiping banners? Minimum special effects? A clean and beautiful design? But why has Apple foregone so many of the popular visual effects that are so common on websites promoted by Alibaba, Made in China, etc? Is it because Apple does not have the budget for such "amazing" designs? Or is it because Apple values Design SEO? Google rewards optimized designs with more GoogleBots (crawl budget) and better conversions (Core Web Vitals). Design SEO is critical to ensure users have a good user experience (UX) across all platforms. This requires a mobile-friendly design that conforms to the Core Web Vitals that Google has set out. The evolution of "design" in the western world, led by Apple, Tesla, Coca-Cola, and other brands, means gone are the "swiping banners", the heavy images, the complicated javascript special effects. And the general design "taste" of the western user has also tended toward these more simplistic and faster-to-load designs.

Content SEO

Content generation and optimization are the most obvious and the easiest part of SEO to understand and explain. However, good Content SEO is more difficult than any other aspect of SEO because Content SEO is hard work, and most people do not like hard work. Google values, above all else, expert, authoritative, trustworthy, and useful content. Google penalizes, above all else, duplicate, useless content. Many customers are too busy to dedicate sufficient time to content generation. In those cases, EC Center can offer content generation and optimization services. Ideally, the customer should write the content as they are the experts. EC Center offers training and assistance to customers to identify what types of content will best serve the web.
