As a Global Brand operating in different regions, the initial SEO Challenge in this project was to consolidate the different websites from the different regions which were competing with each other in Google while maintaining the current third-party design.
This is a common issue in Global Companies as each region is eager to participate and even to take control of their presence in Google. The problem is that usually, due to a lack of Technical SEO knowledge, the proliferation of different webs from different regions confuses Google unless there is a very controlled communication via HTML attributed and HREFLANGs to "explain" which pages of the web "family" should be shown in different regions.
This issue was resolved quickly, and the SEO Traffic in this project rose rapidly. The main KPI in this project was not the Keyword positioning but rather the SEO Contact and Lead Generation. And this is effectively the "best" KPI for any SEO web. How much money does SEO generate for the company?
Keyword positioning on this web was excellent, with first-page positioning for short-tailed keywords such as "microsensor", "pressure sensor" and "pressure transmitter". SEO Contact Generation was also excellent. The main SEO challenge of this project was to maintain the keywords in their page 1 positions and to generate new content.
