How to get a blog on Google Featured Snippets?

Published: 10/6/2022 | Views: 268 | Author: Charlotte | Category: Content SEO | Tag: EC Engine

Google featured snippets, which are "highlighted" text excerpts located at the top of Google search results pages, provide a quick answer to a user's query and enhance the user experience. Featured snippets are extracted from the list of web pages in Google's index, usually in the form of paragraphs, bulleted/numbered lists, tables or videos.

Google

Google "0" rank

If your website content can appear in the "Featured Snippet" position, that is, above the first Google natural ranking, also called position 0 (Position 0). With this position, it is helpful to increase the "speaking power" of the corporate brand - the higher your brand's ranking in the industry keyword search results, the more your share as an industry leader will be! Your website's natural traffic will be greatly improved.

Next, I will use an example of our customer to show how one of our blogs progressed to Google's featured snippet step by step.

The client is an intelligent robot company in Shanghai. Due to the particularity of the industry, when the website was launched, there were only seven products, and there were only about 30 blogs, many of which were short, so the pages included by Google were limited, and the traffic of the website was always mediocre. We have also urged customers to regularly update the blog to increase the Google-indexed page and the website's impression. Still, the customer is very busy and does not know how to write, so it has not been updated.

Google Featured Snippet - The Road to Advanced

Because EC-Center has a Freelancer team in Bali, which specializes in providing blog writing services for EC-Center's customer websites with blog needs. Interlaced like a mountain, in every blog, our bloggers will spend time to check and understand the relevant industry background, development trends, product principles, uses, advantages, etc., before they can write like a god. We arranged two articles to see the effect first.

3.2 assigned tasks to overseas bloggers, and 3.10 was finally written. In this era where everything is about speed, we just wrote a blog for eight days. No way; slow work produces meticulous work.

Generally, after a Freelancer writes a blog, we check for plagiarism and then ask foreign friends to help proofread it. After there are no problems, we will review it for the customer and finally upload it to the website.

Blogs also need SEO optimization, such as adding a Google title (Meta title) and Google description (Meta description) and then optimizing short and long descriptions, including H1, H2, and H3 tags, bold hyperlinks, graphic formats, etc. This article was searched by Google soon after we published it, and it was ranked on page 5 of Google.

Generally, the hit rate of blogs in the industrial field is very low, and sporadic hits in a few months are normal. But the clicks on our blog in the past three months are 212; impressive! The figure below shows the traffic trend of the blog page 3 months after it was released.

Because of this blog, several core keywords are also on the Google homepage; see the chart below:

Google Snippets still needs to be updated regularly

Of course, not to say that the selected snippets can rest easy because this position is also we replace others to come; the future may also be replaced at any time, the survival of the fittest, the reason why Google is the world's No. 1 search engine because Google is also constantly changing and upgrading their ranking mechanism, always the best quality, the most matching answers displayed in the user's search results to enhance the user's search experience. So we also need to update our blog regularly and do SEO optimization to get more pages to gain weight and achieve top ranking.
