Think about titles and search queries
Titles should describe the page's contents without extra words. Titles should also explain exactly what the page is; if it is a product, it should include a noun. Titles are extremely important to both human and robot visitors - starting from the H1 title, through H2s, H3s, etc. Visitors will know exactly what they're looking at if the titles are accurate.

Chaining is a writing method based on the correct use of search terms from search queries. Writers must ensure that the same search terms are used consistently and naturally throughout the page titles and text to indicate that the purpose of the page matches the search query. An otherwise great page won't find its audience if it doesn't link up to appropriate search queries.
Avoid negative writing habits
Google only appreciates original writing; anything else is a waste of time and space. Duplication and plagiarism are two examples of negative writing that won't serve your cause.
If the content of one page is too similar to the content of another page, Google may mark it as a "duplicate”. Duplicate pages will be hidden from Google searches. It is possible to avoid duplication by writing original material for each page.
Plagiarism is the act of taking material created by someone else and using it as one’s own. This is expressly forbidden by Google, and if it is discovered during indexing, it may lead to pages or whole websites being excluded. The Google web crawling algorithms may recognize plagiarised material even after translation, so it is crucial to avoid it at all costs.
Review your content using a style guide
The purpose of a style guide is to show writers how to display text in the best way in English. Take the following sentences, for example:
- A: LAST WEEK i met shay AT ec,center suzhou,
- B: Last week, I met Shay at EC-Center Suzhou.
Sentence A does not follow any rules of style. Although the words are spelt correctly, the punctuation is incorrect. The sentence B follows the rules of style; the proper nouns are capitalised, and the sentence ends with a full stop.
Despite the meaning of the text being the same, incorrect style can make it more challenging to read. Also, Google may recognise this and value the page less than it would a correctly styled text. A review of the style of all writing on a website is essential before launch.
Unique style guides can be developed company by company, but there are many examples of standard style guides published on the internet that do a great job defining the most important rules.
